Toyota seems to have made up its mind to finally unveil the facelifted Camry at the New York Auto Show, next month. In a press statement, Toyota USA said, "On April 16 at the New York International Auto Show, we will make an important announcement about America's best-selling car, the Toyota Camry,"

Since nothing except this statement has been released by the company, we cannot comment on what all changes the new Camry will have. The Camry has always been among the top-sellers for Toyota globally, and it led its segment more more than a decade. But the rise of Nissan Altima has affected the sales of the Camry. This doesn't mean that Camry is in de-growth, but Altima has been doing a little better than the Camry in US, at least for two months.

Not just Altima, the cars like Honda Accord and Ford Fusion too are doing good, if not more than the Camry, but if the facelift doesn't reach on time, these two cars might push the Camry's sales down.

Since, it will be more of a mid-life makeover of the car, we don't expect any change under the hood. We might see this car coming to our shores as well, as the Camry is a really important product for Toyota India too.
