I recently drove the new Tata Punch facelift mid variant and overall I am impressed with the package Tata is offering. The updated design looks much more premium now, especially the front DRLs and connected rear lights. The car has a strong road presence despite being compact.
The mid model feels value for money because it offers most of the useful features needed for daily driving. The cabin quality has improved and the touchscreen, steering controls and rear AC vents make the experience better for family use. Ride quality is comfortable and the suspension handles bad roads very well.
Safety is one of the biggest highlights of the Punch. High ground clearance and confident driving feel make it suitable for both city and highway use. Mileage is decent and maintenance should also remain affordable.
Only thing I feel could improve is engine refinement during quick acceleration, but overall the Tata Punch facelift mid variant is a practical, stylish and safe compact SUV for Indian roads.

Why Limited boot space and No automatic in base model
4.0
Adventure [2021-2025](Petrol)
Tata Punch is a great value-for-money SUV, offering a stylish exterior and decent engine performance for its size. It’s compact yet spacious, with a well-designed cabin. The ground clearance is excellent, making it suitable for rough roads. However, the boot space could be larger, and the manual version might not appeal to all city drivers.

The Tata Punch is a great deal for the price. It has impressive ground clearance and a stylish exterior. The manual version I got is easy to drive, and the suspension handles city potholes pretty well. There’s enough space inside for a small family, and the fuel efficiency is decent too. With basic safety features like airbags, it's good for everyday use.

The Punch is going to be a great buy especially if used mostly in the urban jungle. I just hope they up their game on the engine too so overall these are a more complete package. It ticks a lot of boxes for the paying urban customer - looks that stand out from the crowd, classy interiors, new-age platform, tried and tested competent engine, and an automatic option. Not to mention, the feel-good factor which comes with a "SUV" purchase these days, however "mini" it might be.

Punch will be a great city car and it has some more low end torque than Altroz's 1.2 NA. IMHO the white panel below the Infotainment screen looks plain and they should have added a badging like PUNCH just as they did in the case of Nexon- 2021 models. It is a nice car for a person who is going to phase small rough patches of tarmac in his daily drive.

Well-designed and practical cabin with enough space for 4 adults. Punch has sorted road manners. Straight line stability is satisfactory and the car doesnt feel nervous even at high speed kmh. Main deal breaker is that NA engine. The front design looks like a shrunk version of Harrier and I felt this could work against the premium Brand. Rest of the features are winwin

Sorted road manners and reassuring high speed stability. Enjoyable Harman Six speaker ICE, one of the better systems in this segment. A full Five stars in the GNCAP. But some missing goodies such as an auto-dimming IRVM, splitting rear seat, rear AC vents, full size spare.Nevertheless, Happy to see such impressive new cars from homegrown players .

I own creative variant and been using since 7 months with 5000 kms drive. Mostly I do highway run and I am very satisfied with the mileage 18-19kmpl in highways and little disappointed in city.. I get 13kmpl in city.
Initial pick up is slow due to 3 cylinder engine and at 2500 rpm it’s power is outrageous and you like to drive more in highways…. Cabin is spacious because I weight 102 kgs and still I feel very very comfortable in drivers seat… trust me… and it’s very stable at a speed of 80-100 Kmpl in highways… if it’s very hot outside then you may feel little hot in car till the cabin cools… due to the hot outside it takes little time to cool cabin… but in evening it cools in rapidly…

I liked the punch, but there is a huge price difference between the top model and the base model.I found the car a bit expensive, but the delivery is very long.So I may have to buy a Maruti car.

No doubt the vehicle is sturdy, SUVish and smart looking, but there are many areas where Tata did not pay much attention perhaps.
Initial pick up of punch is a big struggle. You will feel that vehicle is going to stop somewhere before you even take off. It is only after 50 kmph or 60 kmph where you will feel that the ride is smooth. Gear transition is not extraordinarily fluent, here and there one can feel some amount of clutter.
Mileage is ok. It's been 25 days since I bought Tata Punch, covered a distance of 460 km, the average mileage indicator is at 11.7 km/L. I'm sure it'll improve with time.
Interiors are good enough. Connectivity is good. Touchscreen is not as bad as many people opined. Rear view camera could've been better. Instead of 2 rear sensors, Tata could've accomodated 4 sensors. Boot space is quite good. Driver arm rest is not an issue for me as of now.
Plastic cladding on the outside is average in built.
Overall, it is a decent experience. However, a better mileage, efficient engine and extra sensors would make it a very good package.

I booked Tata puch adventure variant AMT with Rhythm pack after it got 5 star rating in Global NCAP. I felt happy and booked online.
But after seeing price, I cancelled my Tata punch booking due to overprice and less features. it costs around 7.34 lacks.
No doubt, If you need safe car, purchase it but with very very less features. But Engine needs lot of refinement. Its 3 cylinder with very less mileage and noisy (noise will come in cabin). Moreover with AMT its we cannot bare that.
With road tax and insurance its reached 9 Lacks nearly. So thinking that better to wait for BH registration. As I have transferrable job (I sold my Tata Tiago in Maharashtra and came to Karnataka due to pathetic RTO transfer procedure).
All the best TATA for overpriced car. Expectation went to w(h)ell.
