2016 Jaguar XJ Revealed

The new Jaguar XJ now also gets an electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) that improves responsiveness and driver feedback, but also enables advanced driver assistance systems and improves efficiency. Infotainment and connectivity provisions include Door-to-door navigation, Wi-Fi, seamless smartphone connectivity and Meridian digital audio system.

The new XJ's InControl Touch Pro premium infotainment system is built around a quad-core Intel processor, 60GB solid-state drive and a next-generation Ethernet network, thus allowing it to handle massive amounts of data. As far as row-two is concerned, it will get an opitonal system with two 10.2-inch high-definition screens which fold away when not in use. The optional digital TV allows for different channels to be played on each screen and an additional 100GB of user media storage is provided.
Other features for rear seat entertainment system will include two USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI and one MHL port, enabling charging and media output and from a wide range of smartphones and tablets.
Engine options for the new XJ include a 3.0-litre V6 diesel, a 3.0-litre supercharged V6, and a 5.0-litre V8. All powertrains will come mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The 2016 Jaguar XJ will go on sale in Autumn 2015 (September) with a starting price of GBP 58,690 (Rs. 5,926,997).
