2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS Launched; Price Starts At Rs. 2.7 Crore

One of the fastest luxury sedans globally, the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS has been launched in India and is priced at Rs. 2.7 crore (ex-showroom). The four-door sports luxury sedan is one of the most engaging to drive as well and has been updated for the 2018 model year with subtle styling upgrades and new features as well. The 2018 Quattroporte GTS was first showcased at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show and is being offered in two trim options - GranLusso and GranSport. Each trim level adds a distinctive touch to the sedan.
The 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS features new front and rear bumper design, a more pointed and imposing front grille and new adaptive LED headlights with glare free high beam assist. Those opting for the GranLusso trim on the Quattroporte GTS, the sedan's luxury quotient is amplified with additional bits like the front spoiler, chrome bumper inserts and body coloured side skirts. You also get GranLusso badges on the wings and new 20-inch Mercurio alloy wheels with black coloured brake calipers.

The 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS GranSport trim, on the other hand, keeps things sporty with sculpted angles for the central front and side intakes, aerodynamic splitters, while the centre spoiler and side inserts are finished in piano black. There is also the optional exterior carbon package that adds carbon finished ORVMs, door handles, B-pillar cover and front bumper.
Inside, the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS has seen a major upgrade on the equipment list with more tech on offer. Apart from the upholstery and leather changes, the cabin now boasts of a 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC+) unit that sits in the centre of the dashboard and can operated via a multi-touchscreen, rotary control in the central console, or through voice commands. The touchscreen system also offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity along with phone mirroring option.
Acoustic needs are handled by the 900 watt, 10 speaker Harman Kardon audio system, while there is a 1280 watt, 15 speaker Bowers & Wilkin Surround sound system as optional. Safety tech on board the fastest four-door sedan includes six airbags, active headrests, ane Keeping Assist (LKA); Active Blind Spot Assist (ABSA); Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) and much more.

Under the hood, the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte in the flagship GTS version uses a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine tuned to deliver 522 bhp between 6500-6800 rpm, along with 710 Nm of peak torque available beween 2250 and 3500 rpm. The car uses an 8-speed ZF automatic trnansmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The GTS is capable of hitting 100 kmph in 4.7 seconds and can be pushed to a top speed of 310 kmph.
Deliveries of the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS will be around the same time globally and in India. Bookings are open for the new four-door luxury sedan, which competes against the likes of the Aston Martin Rapide and Porsche Panamera.
