2021 Ducati Diavel 1260 S Black And Steel Edition Unveiled

Ducati has unveiled a limited edition trim of the top-spec Ducati Diavel 1260 S, called the Ducati Diavel 1260 S Black and Steel. According to Ducati, the Diavel 1260 S Black and Steel takes inspiration from the Diavel "Materico" which was unveiled at the 2019 at the Milan Design Week. The Black and Steel edition comes in a combination of matte black and gloss grey as the base colours, with bright yellow highlights, that are prominent on the wheels, seat, engine belly pan, frame and the underside of the tail piece.

The Diavel 1260 Black and Steel is a regular Diavel 1260 S finished in a gloss grey and matte black colour scheme with bright yellow accents
The changes to the Black and Steel edition are only cosmetic, with no mechanical updates. Based on the Diavel 1260 S, the bike is powered by 1,262 cc Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Valve Timing) v-twin engine, which produces 160 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 129 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine lays down power to the ground via a six-speed gearbox, paired with a slipper clutch and chain final drive. The Diavel 1260 S comes with a standard up and down quickshifter, while the electronics suite consists of Bosch cornering ABS, as well as wheelie control, launch control, traction control as well as multiple riding modes. Also included is cruise control, keyless ignition, and a full-colour TFT instrument console which offers smartphone connectivity through the Ducati Link app.

There are no mechanical changes in the Diavel 1260 S Black and Steel variant
Front suspension comprises of a 48 mm Ohins fully adjustable fork, while at the rear is also an Ohlins monoshock adjustable for preload, rebound and compression. The Diavel 1260 S comes with a 17-litre fuel tank, while seat height is 780 mm, and kerb weight is 247 kg. Braking duties are handled by Brembo M4.32 monobloc four-piston calipers on twin 320 mm discs up front, while on the rear wheel there's a 265 mm disc gripped by a two-piston Brembo caliper. The 2021 Ducati Diavel 1260 S will be unveiled at the 2021 MIMO Motor Show from June 10 to June 13, 2021. The Diavel 1260 Black and Steel will be offered in select international markets only. For reference, the 2021 Ducati Diavel 1260 is priced in India at Rs. 18.49 lakh (Ex-showroom), while the Diavel 1260 S is priced at Rs. 21.49 lakh (Ex-showroom).
