5 Washing Tips To Avoid Accidental Damages To Your Car

Avoid washing in direct sunlight
Few people pay attention to where and when they wash their cars. Most people focus on enough space and a good water supply. But these are not the only things that need to be kept in mind. You should choose a shaded place and avoid washing the car under direct sunlight. This is because the sunlight could damage the car paint. People think washing cars in direct sunlight is good as it will help the vehicle dry faster. In reality, car wash mixtures that evaporate too quickly can leave behind stains.

Let the dust settle, at least for some time
After a long drive, some people can't help but clean their cars. But this is not a good idea. The water immediately changes the temperature of the paint, affecting it adversely.
Choose the right things to clean with
Most people think that different car wash chemicals are just the same things in different packaging. Most times, we just buy products with the most appealing packaging. However, each car needs a different kind of cleaning material. For example, you can't clean aluminium wheels with cleaners made for chrome.
Some people also use household cleaners such as dish soap or detergents. However, these are bad for car paint. Car cleaning detergents, on the other hand, are made just for washing cars and don't have any harmful ingredients.
The right washing cloth
Another mistake that most people make when they wash their cars is to use any cloth they see lying around. In truth, you need a microfiber cleaning cloth to keep the car's paint in good shape. Everyday clothes might not be soft enough and could scratch the car.

Move the fabric horizontally or vertically
Instead of moving the fabric in circular motions, you should move it horizontally or vertically. In addition, you should not wear hand accessories such as rings or bracelets, as these could accidentally scratch the surface.
Without proper care, a vehicle ages faster. Additional car maintenance procedures, such as waxing and polishing, can also extend the durability of your vehicle.
