- In the event that a driver drives without the seat belt on, you will be charged Rs. 1000 for that in Mumbai.
- If you drive without your driving license on Mumbai roads, you will be charged Rs. 5000.
- There is a specific rate of fines when it comes to the matter of overspeeding. That is for LMV; you will be charged Rs. 1000 for other cars and for MPV, you will be charged Rs. 2000.
- In case of a DUI that is driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you will be charged Rs. 10,000 and face up to six months of jail.
- In the unlikely event that you drive without insurance, you will be charged Rs. 2000 and three months of prison.
- In case of a juvenile offense, you will be charged Rs. 25,000 along with facing three years of prison.
- If you even accidentally honk in silent zones, you will be charged Rs. 2000, while the amount can rise to Rs. 4000 even.
- If a driver doesn't follow traffic rules as per RTO, you will be charged Rs.2000.
- In the case of riding bikes without a helmet, you will be charged Rs. 1000 and three months of community service.
