- Laser (Lidar)
- Camera
- Radar
Not all but most new generation adaptive cruise control technologies use radar as the primary data source. Vehicles with this assistance feature have mounted radar sensors to analyse the road ahead. This data from the sensors is used to adjust the car's speed and set the distance.
