Aprilia RSV4 XTrenta Limited Edition Superbike Unveiled

- Only 100 units of the track-only superbike will be built
- The RSV4 XTrenta aims to offer a close experience of a real MotoGP bike
- 230 bhp, 166 kg superbike features rear and under wings
Aprilia has unveiled an exclusive track-only, limited edition version of the Aprilia RSV4 superbike to celebrate 30 years since the Italian brand’s first World Championship title in 1992. The Aprilia RSVR XTrenta, as it’s called, is the Italian firm’s lightest and most powerful superbike. Built by Aprilia’s Noale Racing Department, the RSV4 XTrenta uses technology and aerodynamic features found in the RS-GP MotoGP race bikes.
Only 100 units of the track-only superbike will be built and sold online.
The 230 bhp, 166 kg track-only Aprilia RSV4 XTrenta is the first production motorcycle to feature rear and under wings. The RSV4 XTrenta comes with a butterfly-style split tail fin and also a swingarm mounted under wing, which is said to increase downforce by 25 per cent and reduce drag by 4 per cent.
The 166 kg, 230 bhp track-only superbike also features a swingarm mounted under wing, said to increase downforce by 25 per cent and reduce drag by 4 per cent.
The bike also comes with a SC Project titanium and carbon exhaust system, and the carbon fibre fairing is made by PAN Compositi, employing the same processes used in the firm’s MotoGP bikes. Upgraded Magneti Marelli electronics, a PBR titanium sprocket and JetPrime race switch panel are also added.
Aerodynamic features inspired by Aprilia's RS-GP MotoGP bike have been introduced in the XTrenta, including winglets.
The chassis is the same from the stock Aprilia RSV4, but the Ohlins suspension has been modified by Andreani, with inputs from Aprilia’s MotoGP team. Brembo GP4-MS monobloc calipers take care of braking duties, and Pirelli Diablo SBK slick racing tyres are mounted on the 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels from Marchesini.
The bike also comes with a SC Project titanium exhaust system.
The RSV4 XTrenta is part of the Factory Works programme launched by Aprilia Racing: unique in the world, it makes the same technology developed in competition available to those who intend to compete at the highest levels in the production derivatives championships or who wish to have an RSV4 or Tuono V4 with performance optimised for use on the track.
Only 100 units of the Aprilia RSV4 XTrenta will be made, and it’s been priced at 50,000 Euros (approximately Rs. 40 lakh under current exchange rates), and the bike will be available exclusively online from September 6, 2022. The livery of the RSV4 XTrenta is inspired by the 1992 Aprilia Racing colours in the 125 cc MotoGP class.
