- Audi e-tron GT to get same platform as the Porsche Mission E
- Will be the third all-electric car in the e-tron range
Audi has teased the future of it's electric mobility plans at its annual press conference. The new concept car is a look into the future of Audi's sportier car range and has been christened Audi e-tron GT. The Audi e-tron GT will make it to production by 2021 or 2022 and will have the same underpinnings as the Porsche Mission E. The Audi e-tron GT will be a 4-door sedan with a swept back coupe like design. It will also be the first sedan-esque vehicle from the German automaker in the e-tron range since the other two vehicles will be an SUV and a crossover. The car will take on the likes of the Tesla Model S, which by then should already be in a Series II form. The new Audi e-tron GT, according to official announcements will be made at Audi's Bollinger Hofe site in Neckarsulm, Germany.
Audi has also announced that it will have more than 20 electrified vehicles by 2025 which will include fully electric and hybrid vehicles. These will include sedans like the A3 and A8, coupes like the A7 and SUVs like the Q5 and the Q7. The upcoming Audi Q8 will also have an e-tron hybrid version, probably at the time of launch.
