Audi SQ7 Spotted Testing In India Sans Camouflage

- Audi SQ7 is one of the most powerful diesel SUVs yet
- The SQ7 spotted in India is a left-hand-drive (LHD) model
- The SQ7 gets a 4.0 litre TDI engine with an electric powered compressor
Be it luxury cars or performance machines, Audi has always managed to offer some of the best products in those spaces. One such remarkable product from the Ingolstadt-based carmaker is the Audi SQ7, which is also touted to be one of the most powerful diesel SUVs yet. And the SUV was recently spotted testing in India near Pune. Now, we loved the Audi SQ7 when we drove it last year in Germany and were waiting for the SUV to arrive in India. And the recent sighting of this new test mule of the SQ7 does indicate that the launch might not be too far. In fact, it could very well be one of the 10 new products Audi India has planned for this year.

Audi SQ7 Spied In India
Interestingly the test mule that was recently spotted in India was a left-hand-drive LHD model indicated by the printing on its back, which apparently is the only view of the car available now. You can also see the SQ7 and the TDI badging on the tailgate with a pair of stylish LED taillamps with the four rings at the centre and the quad exhaust system. The SUV also sports the same blue colour that is used for the global model. The SUV shares its design language with the regular Q7 SUV but the styling is more sporty and sharper.
The Audi SQ7 sits a bit lower and gets a sportier body kit. The face looks more pronounced with the sharper LED headlamps, more chrome highlights and larger air intakes. The alloys also add to the sporty character of the SUV.

The Audi SQ7 comes from a new 4.0 litre TDI engine with an electric powered compressor (EPC), the first-of-its-kind to make an appearance on a production vehicle. With all the tech wizardry on board, the oil burner is tuned to produce 435 hp of power and a whopping 900 Nm of peak torque. Power is channelled to all four wheels via the Quattro All-Wheel Drive system using an 8-speed automatic transmission. Audi SQ7 is capable of hitting the 0-100 km/h mark in just 4.8 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph.
