Auto Sales May 2021: Sonalika Tractors Records M-o-M Sales Decline Of 2.78 Per Cent

- Sonalika sold 8876 units last month
- Its sales in April 2021 stood at 9130 units.
- It has recorded a MoM sales decline of 2.78 per cent.
Sonalika announced its sales figure for the month of May 2021. The tractor major has sold 8876 units last month recording an overall sales decline of 2.78 per cent on a month-on-month (MoM) basis when compared to 9130 units sold in April 2021. It recorded a MoM sales decline of 30.26 per cent selling in April 2021 when compared to 13,093 units sold in the March 2021. Sales in April and May 2021 went down as India is again hit by the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic and is witnessing partial lockdown in several states.

Earlier, Sonalika Tractors announced that it will extend primary warranty on its products by two months. It is also providing extensive support to its dealers' employees by covering the medical expenses related to Covid-19 treatment. The company has also assured financial assistance in case of any unexpected demise of an employee due to Covid-19. For starters, Medical Expense Assistance is being provided with a sum of up to Rs. 25,000 to cover the medical expenses incurred by dealership employee due to Covid-19 infection. This is in addition to other schemes that are already in force to cover kids of dealer's employees for medical assistance & education of up to Rs. 50,000 every year.
