Bajaj Dominar Prices Hiked Yet Again; Prices Start At Rs. 1.46 lakh

- The non ABS Bajaj Dominar is priced at Rs. 1.46 lakh
- The ABS version of the Dominar is now priced at Rs. 1.60 lakh
- Over 80% of Dominar buyers prefer the ABS version
Bajaj has yet again increased the prices of its flagship model, the Dominar, by Rs. 2,000. Earlier, the standard variant was priced at Rs. 1.44 lakh and now it is priced at Rs. 1.46 lakh. Similarly, the twin-channel ABS variant cost Rs. 1.58 lakh earlier and now it is priced at Rs. 1.60 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. Bajaj had increased the prices of the Dominar barely two months ago and that too by a quantum of Rs. 2,000 only. Bajaj had updated the Dominar for 2018, offering three new colour schemes and a few visual updates such as the premium-looking gold dust alloy wheels.

Taking the introductory prices into account, since the bike was first launched in December 2016, Bajaj has increased the prices of the Dominar by Rs. 10,000 over time. Apart from the cosmetic changes, the bike remains the same as far as engine specifications are concerned. It gets a 373 cc single-cylinder engine which makes around 34.5 bhp and 35 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox.

The company recently revealed that more than 80 per cent of Dominar buyers prefer the ABS variant, which only leaves 20 per cent as those who would rather buy the non ABS version. The difference between the prices is Rs. 14,000. In our opinion it makes sense to pay that extra money and get the ABS version instead. Bajaj could soon phase out the non ABS version of the Dominar, especially once the compulsory ABS rule arrives in April 2019. The Bajaj Dominar 400 has its rivals in the Mahindra Mojo UT300 and the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X.
