Bajaj Auto has officially launched the 2019 Avenger Street 160 ABS in the country, priced at Rs. 82,253 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The all-new cruiser is the now the most affordable Avenger on sale and replaces the Avenger Street 150 that was previously on offer. The new Avenger Street 160 will bring a sporty cruiser experience to the large set of emerging 150-160 cc users who seek the cruiser styling without the over indulgence in chrome. The new Avenger 160 has started arriving at dealerships, and we've already told you that deliveries too have commenced.

    Chennai-based motorcycle maker Royal Enfield has announced a recall for 7000 units of the Bullet range of motorcycles. The recall affects the Royal Enfield Bullet and Electra 350 and 500 variants that were manufactured between March 20 and April 30 this year. The recall is related to an issue of a faulty brake caliper bolt that failed to meet the required torque quality to standards, according to Royal Enfield and the recall is a proactive measure given the importance of the part concerned.

    Honda Dio Scooter Crosses 30 Lakh Sales Milestone
    Scooters continue to remain top sellers for Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) bringing in the chunk of volumes. While it is the Activa leading the sales charts always, the Dio isn't too bad either on the sales front. In fact, the Honda Dio 110 cc scooter has crossed the 30 lakh sales milestone, adding a new feather to its hat. Honda says the first 15 lakh sales took 14 years to achieve, but the latest 15 lakh sales were registered in just three years. That's five times faster than the earlier pace, which has helped the Dio grow into India's fourth largest selling scooter. The milestone also comes at a time when the domestic auto industry is undergoing a lull phase over the past few months.

Brought to life by the 'Triumph Factory Custom' special works division at Hinckley, the Triumph Rocket 3 TFC is as wild as the British get and features the world's largest engine on a production motorcycle. The new Rocket 3 TFC will have a limited production run of 750 units, of which 225 units of these big bad cruisers will make their way to the US, while the rest will make their way to other parts of the world. There's no word yet on how many models will be coming to India.

    Chennai-based motorcycle maker, Royal Enfield reported a decline of 17 per cent in sales for April 2019. The manufacturer sold 62,,879 units last month, a significant drop in volumes when compared to 76,187 units that were sold in April last year, as per the regulatory filing. This is the fourth consecutive month where the bike maker has seen a drop in volumes with the overall auto industry gravely affected by the sluggish growth in volumes. Apart from RE, Hero also reported a drop of 17 per cent in sale for last month.

    Hero MotoCorp reported a sale of 574,366 units in April 2019, witnessing a decline in volumes of 17.24 per cent over 694,022 units that were sold in April last year. The massive drop in sales has been attributed to the overall low buying sentiment that has gravely affected the auto industry over the past three quarters. The manufacturer, however, stated that despite the challenging market conditions, it registered over 7.8 million unit sales during the financial year 2018-19.
