BluWheelz Launches EV Fleet For Last Mile Deliveries

- BluWheelz will cater multiple companies to provide last mile delivery services.
- It has targeted a fleet of 10,000 EVs by the end of 2023.
- Will source electric two- & three-wheelers from multiple OEMs.
Delhi-based company called BluWheelz has launched an EV fleet as a Service (EFaS) in India. The EV fleet will provide last mile delivery services for logistics & e-commerce companies to cater to the increasing consumer demand. At the launch, the company also announced that it will deploy over 10,000 electric two and three wheelers for last mile deliveries by 2023 spanning 25 Indian cities, including tier two and tier three cities.
Speaking at the time of launch, Chanpreet Sethi, founder, BluWheelz said, “With concerns over climate change looming large over the auto industry, rising fuel costs, unstable oil economy, the existing fragmented delivery fleet services models will not be able to arrest the abysmally low conversion rate of delivery fleet vehicles from combustion to electric. The need of the hour is to create an ecosystem of skilled riders, seamless charging facilities, robust vehicle lifecycle maintenance and technology to monitor every detail on an App.”

Chanpreet Sethi, founder, BluWheelz speaking at the launch said he expects the fleet size to increase ten times in a year's time.
“The fleet size is also expected to increase ten times in a year’s time sensing the humongous demand from players needing delivery as a service. The market itself is going to expand to gigantic proportions on the back complete replacement of existing fleet in next five years”, Sethi added.
The self-financed green-field venture start-up company has multiple OEM partners, and it is backed by Sanjiv Gupta, Former President of Coke India and Former CEO of Spice Express. It has also signed MoUs with the OEM partners and is in the process of closing deals with e-commerce and logistic companies. The company also announced its strategic tie-up with leading EV OEM e-Ashwa for procurement of electric vehicles for EFaS.
