carandbike Awards 2022: Commuter Motorcycle of the Year - TVS Raider 125

The TVS Raider 125 motorcycle has bagged the Commuter Motorcycle of the Year award at the 2022 carandbike Awards. The new 125 cc motorcycle from TVS Motor Company had to compete with two strong contenders - the Bajaj Pulsar 125 and the Yamaha FZ-X. The Raider 125 managed to impress the jury member with its bold character, fun-to-ride performance and overall usability. The Raider 125 marked TVS Motor Company's comeback into the highly competitive 125 cc motorcycle segment after a long time.

The headlamp on the TVS Raider looks quirky and may get a polarising opinion, but the rest of the design is quite likeable especially the bulging fuel tank

The overall design, with a sculpted fuel tank with sharp creases, add muscle to the design, and looks more in line with the styling of 150 cc motorcycles than a 125. A LED taillight, with a more toned down tail section completes the design. It's a handsome looking bike, and certainly looks upmarket. The Raider is priced from Rs. 82,953 to Rs. 87,469 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
