eBikeGo is a last-mile mobility services provider which uses electric two-wheelers for its services.
According to eBikeGo, when the company launched its all-electric delivery network in 2017, it assumed that there will be other e-bike OEMs and manufacturers whose vehicles will be employed for its services. But the company realised that there is a significant scarcity of strong electric bikes which are intended for Indian road conditions. So the company explored the e-mobility business by analysing data.

"We at eBikeGo decided to take the bull by the horns after waiting for three years for someone to come in and create a robust electric bike that is affordable and can be adopted by the public. After evaluating multiple OEMs in the industry, we zeroed down on Boom Motors for the design and manufacturing of the vehicle. Purely based on the Indian road conditions, the petabytes of data generated from our own delivery and rental operations are shared with Boom Motors founded by Anirudh Ravi Narayanan. This information used as an input matrix for the vehicle's design and production. We are extremely happy to launch India's most sustainable, smartest and robust electric moto-scooter 'Rugged', which will transform the course of e-mobility in India and push the boundaries of innovation in the electric bike segment" said Irfan Khan, Founder & CEO of eBikeGo.

The new e-bike is high speed, and has been approved by the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT), and has been developed after analysing millions of data points acquired by EBG-Matics, the company's AI-powered fleet management system. According to eBikeGo, the system has collected petabytes of data from B2B and B2C operations exclusively based on Indian road conditions.
According to eBikeGo, the Rugged e-bike has been designed and manufactured entirely in India, and is fully compliant with the 'Make in India' program. Backed by in-house design and manufacturing, the Rugged will be eligible for the Faster Adoption and Manufacture of Electric Vehicles (FAME II) subsidies and will be priced attractively, the company said. The new e-bike will also have keen market intelligence, and in-depth grasp of consumer issues, eBikeGo said in a statement.
