Elon Musk’s Chief Of Staff Could Be Fired By Tesla For Suspicious Order Of Special Glass

Elon Musk’s top lieutenant Omead Afshar who is the director of the CEO’s office at Tesla could be fired after an ongoing investigation which involves financial issues. Afshar reportedly ordered special glass that some suspect was ordered for Musk himself. Since Sam Teller left Tesla, Afshar has been viewed as Musk’s chief of staff and is the point of contact between his direct reports.
Afshar was also the man Musk had tasked to oversee the construction of the Texas Gigafactory which recently went live. According to a Bloomberg report, Afshar may be asked to leave Tesla.

“Omead Afshar, one of Elon Musk’s top lieutenants and the executive running Tesla Inc.’s Texas factory, is under scrutiny in an internal investigation for his role in a plan to purchase hard-to-get construction materials, according to people familiar with the matter,” the report said.
Already many employees have been fired related to the probe. There could be a possibility where Tesla HR is figuring out a possible leave of absence first for Afshar. But if the probe finds out that Afshar ordered the glass for Musk, then things could be quite different.
The investigation is figuring out the role of Afshar and if he did order the glass for Musk.
