F1: Hamilton Tops Time Charts in FP2 Thanks to Rosberg's Error at the 2014 Russian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton finished today's final Practice session on a high as he set the fastest time as Nico Rosberg made an error at the Russian Grand Prix. With soft tyre runs in the second practice session seeing the quickest times set, Hamilton posted a 1:39.630.

Hamilton was the only man below the 1m40s mark, with Kevin Magnussen in P2 but over 0.8s. Yet again, Fernando Alonso showed pace in his Ferrari and was third fastest ending up just 0.010s faster than Magnussen.

Rosberg was limited to fourth place as he ran wide at Turn 17 which ruined his lap. Valtteri Bottas was fifth just ahead of Jenson Button. Felipe Massa went seventh fastest ahead of Daniil Kvyat, Sebastian Vettel and Jean-Eric Vergne.

Daniel Ricciardo brought out the red flags in the final ten minutes when he stopped on track with smoke coming from the rear of his Red Bull. Just 21 cars took part in the session as Marussia will run just one car this weekend out of respect for Jules Bianchi. We hope he recovers soon.
