F2: Jehan Daruvala Bags A Podium & 4th Place In Azerbaijan GP Sprint Races

- Jehan finished 4th after starting at P2 in the first sprint race
- Jehan Daruvala finished 3rd in the second sprint race
- Dariuvala will start at P9 in the feature race on Sunday
After a string of mediocre races, Jehan Daruvala was back in form with strong finishes in the Formula 2 sprint races in Azerbaijan. The Carlin driver finished fourth in the first race of the weekend, and went on to claim third in the second sprint race. It was an equally strong show from his Carlin teammate Dan Ticktum, who finished second and sixth in the sprint races.

Race 1 saw Jehan start in second place on the grid and the driver held on to the position well in the initial stages but as the race progressed, the driver was overtaken by Ticktum followed by China's Guanyu Zhou. Nevertheless, Jehan made for a close finish behind the top three building the much needed pace towards the closing stages.

The feature race on Sunday will see the driver begin at P9 on the grid
Race 2 saw the drivers line-up according to a reverse grid order wherein the top ten finishers of Race 1 would be reversed. This saw Daruvala begin seventh on the grid. A strong start gave Jehan enough boost to move up to P4 on the opening lap itself. The race then saw multiple crashes bringing out the safety cars. Jehan used this opportunity to pass Bent Viscaal for P3 and held on to the position till the final lap.
The action now moves to Sunday for the feature race comprising 29 laps. Daruvala will start at P9 after qualifying in ninth during the Friday session.
