Fiat Avventura Launching This Month, 500 Abarth in November

Fiat India that launched the new Punto Evo in August, is now planning to bring in two more new products - the Avventura crossover and the 500 Abarth. While the Avventura will be launched this month, the 500 Abarth will be rolled out next month i.e. November, 2014.
Talking about the Avventura - a contemporary utility vehicle (CUV) in Fiat's words - is nothing but a rugged version of the Punto that will take on the likes of the Volkswagen Cross Polo and Toyota Etios Cross. However, the Avventura looks comparatively more aggressive, thanks to fitments like roof rails, rear-mounted spare wheel and side-cladding with 'Avventura' inscribed on it.
With premium upholstery, contrast stitching and added-features, the Avventura's cabin too looks much sportier than that of the Punto Evo. The crossover will also get an increased height optimised driving position that will give a clearer view to its driver. Moving on to engine details, the Avventura will be powered by the same 1.4-litre FIRE petrol and 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine options that are found under the hatchback's hood.

Avventura's launch will then be followed by that of the 500 Abarth, which happens to be a performance-oriented hatchback. The Abarth 500 will take on the likes of BMW 1 Series, Mercedes-Benz A-Class, and Volvo V40 Cross Country among others in its league. Powering the Abarth 500 will be a 1.4-litre MultiAir turbocharged petrol unit that is capable of churning out a whooping 135bhp. There could be one high-end 'Essess' model as well that will get a 161bhp producing engine.
In terms of features, the 500 Abarth will get projector head-lamps, dual-exhaust system, KONI front-shock absorbers, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), electronic stability control (ESC) and seven airbags.
