Fiat Punto Pure Edition to Launch in January 2016

By launching the Punto Pure Fiat India wants to introduce an affordable version of the brand. The Punto Evo had created its own fan following and it won people over because of all the aggressive looks and as we've said earlier, the look on the Punto Evo was meant solely for the Avventura but Fiat India changed their plan and hence we see the aggressive looking Punto.

The former generation was known for its build quality and even good handling. The hydraulic steering system is still seen in the current generation and that's what adds a lot of feel to the car when on the road. Fiat in fact made things even more interesting by introduction a 90bhp variant, making it the most powerful hatchback in the segment, at that point in time. The Fiat Punto was sold with two engine options - the 1.3-litre Multijet turbocharged diesel engine and the 1.4 FIRE naturally aspirated petrol engine.
The Punto Pure will continue to come powered with the same engines and will be made available in three trims - Active, Dynamic and Emotion. We expect fiat to fill the car to the brim with features and it will be something similar we've seen them do to the Linea. The Punto Pure will compete with newbies like the Tata Bolt, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and its usual rivals, the Hyundai i20 and the Volkswagen Polo. The company plans to launch the car in January this year and we'll keep you posted on the developments on this front, so stay tuned!
