Ford Endeavour Facelift Spotted Testing Undisguised In Thailand

- The Ford Endeavour facelift will come with a bunch of cosmetic changes
- This is the Thai-spec model that comes with the Everest badging
- India-spec Endeavour facelift is expected to be launched in 2019
We already know that Ford has started working on a facelift for its popular full-size seven-seater SUV, the Ford Endeavour. Known in the international markets as the Ford Everest, a near production model of the new facelifted Endeavour was recently spotted testing in Thailand, sans camouflage. This is the Thai-spec model with the Everest badging that is likely to be launched in the South-Asian country later this year. On the other hand, we expect the India-spec Ford Endeavour facelift to be launched in India in 2019.

One of the early test mules of the Ford Endeavour facelift was first spotted last year, in July 2017, in Australia. Judging by these latest images, we can see that the seven-seater SUV has, in fact, received a bunch of new cosmetic updates. Visually, the 2019 Ford Endeavour (Everest) now gets an updated grille with revised chrome slats, the headlamps remain unchanged but possibly comes with some minor tweaks made to the cluster design. The front bumper design remains unchanged and so does the bonnet. The updated Endeavour does come with new twin-five-spoke alloy wheels with dual tone finish, two-tone silver and black outside rear-view mirrors but the rear portion of the SUV looks unchanged.

Ford Endeavour Facelift's rear portion looks largely unchanged
While we do not get to see the cabin of the Ford Endeavour facelift in these images, we expect a considerable makeover for the interior. The facelifted Endeavour is likely to receive the company's new floating touchscreen infotainment display that we saw in the in Ford EcoSport. This also means the SUV will come with a redesigned dashboard, new upholstery and a bunch of new features like the latest version of Ford's in-car infotainment system SYNC3 along with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink and more.
Engine options are expected to remain unchanged and will continue with the existing 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre diesel powertrains. The power figures could see a mild revision from the current version, but we'll wait for an official announcement. Ford had already discontinued the manual transmission option in India and currently offers the 6-speed automatic transmission as standard, which we believe will be carried over to the facelifted version as well.
