Geneva Motor Show 2018: Four-Door Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe Leaked

- The Four-door Mercedes-AMG GT coupe will make its debut on March 6
- The Mercedes-AMG GT Sedan is the fourth model to join the AMG GT family
- The four-door AMG GT will be powered by the same 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8
An official image of the upcoming Four-Door Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe has been leaked ahead of the car's world premiere tomorrow, on March 6, at the Geneva Motor Show 2018. The new Four-door Mercedes-AMG GT coupe-sedan will be the fourth model to join the AMG GT family. The upcoming 4-door AMG GT Coupe will share its exterior appearance with the AMG GT family, while the cabin will be inspired by the new-gen CLS and E-Class sedan.

Comparing it to the recently released teaser video of the Four-door AMG GT Coupe, which highlights some of the signature design elements of the car, we are pretty sure the leaked image is legit. Visually, the car gets all the design and styling cues of the AMG GT family like - the signature Panamericana grille, bug-eyed LED headlamps with styling LED daytime running lights, sporty front bumper with large air-intakes and chrome highlight, sporty multi-spoke AMG alloy wheels and the new active aero spoiler. The car will also come with a pair of sleek wraparound LED taillamps, chrome-tipped quad exhaust system, and a rear diffuser among others.
We still do not have an official image of the cabin yet, but based on the spy image we saw earlier and the latest teaser video we know that the car, as mentioned earlier, will share its interior with the new-gen CLS and E-Class sedan. Mercedes will also offer AMG-style flat-bottom steering wheel, rotor-like illuminated air-con vents, a four-seater cabin layout along with a host of smart and comfort features.

The new four-door Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe will be powered by the 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system, which is unique to the AMG GT family. The four-door Mercedes-AMG GT coupe will, of course, come in a different state of tune, and the power figures will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. It's said that Mercedes-AMG could introduce plug-in hybrid variant later in the future, which would come with an output of over 800 bhp.
More technical specification and other features detail will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. Considering, all the previous AMT GT models - AMG GT S, AMG GT Roadster, and the flagship AMG GT-R, are already on sale in India, it's likely that Mercedes-Benz India will eventually bring the four-door AMT GT coupe to our shores. We expect a late 2018 or early 2019 launch.
