Ganesh Mani S, Director of Manufacturing To Leave Hyundai India - Report

- Mani joined Hyundai India in late 2015
- Parts ways with the company after almost seven years
- Prior to Hyundai Mani spent 28 years with Maruti Suzuki India
Hyundai India’s Director of Manufacturing, Ganesh Mani S has parted ways with the company. As per a PTI report, Mani has left Hyundai India with an aim to pursue newer opportunities. Mani’s career with Hyundai Motor India spanned almost 7 years with the company taking over as the President for manufacturing operations for the company in December 2015. In a statement the company said that Mani had shared a mutually enriching relation with the company and that his contributions had significantly benefitted the company’s operational excellence at its Chennai plant.
"Hyundai Motor India wishes Ganesh Mani the very best in all his future endeavours,” the company said.
Hyundai presently has two manufacturing facilities outside of Chennai rolling out its entire portfolio of cars and SUVs from the Santro up to the Tucson and Kona EV. The plants also produce models for exports markets.
Prior to joining Hyundai India, Mani spent 28 years with India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India. Mani joined the company in 1987 before working his up to managerial roles on the operations and production side of the company over the course of his near three decades with the company. He parted ways with the company in late 2015 as the Vice president of operations.
