Honda NAVI Bookings Cross 900 Mark

The Honda NAVI, in a way, opens up an all-new segment of two wheelers, sitting between a motorcycle and a scooter. Deliveries of the NAVI will begin from April 2016.

Honda NAVI was launched in India on the first day of 2016 Auto Expo. Honda also showcased several concepts based on the NAVI showcasing its customising capabilities. Although there's no word yet on if HMSI will be offering production ready models of the concepts.

Aimed at youngsters, NAVI promises to be a fun two-wheeler which will appeal to the young crowd. The seating position is more like a motorcycle, there is enough space for storage at the front where a conventional motorcycle has the engine and the NAVI's wheels are small like seen in scooters. Dimensionally, it is small - 1805mm long, 748mm wide and 1039mm high. Honda has fitted telescopic forks in front and spring hydraulic type at rear for shock absorption. Braking is taken care of by drum brakes at both ends.

Launched in just a standard variant, the bike is available in five colour options- Patriot Red, Hooper Green, Shasta White, Sparky Orange and Black. Power comes from the same 110cc, single cylinder, four stroke SI engine of the Activa, which makes 7.83bhp power at 7000rpm and 8.96Nm of torque at 5500rpm. Honda is offering a number of customization options on the NAVI, giving an opportunity to customers to make personalize the bike as per their requirement and liking. The NAVI has been designed and developed completely by Honda's R&D wing in India. It is the first two wheeler to have been completely developed from the ground up by HMSI.Trending News
