Hyundai Commemorates Grand i10's 1st Anniversary With SportZ Edition

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), the nation's second-largest car manufacturer, is in the mood to celebrate. Celebrate what, you ask. That will be the first anniversary of the Grand i10, with the introduction of its 'SportZ Edition'. Launched in September, 2013, the company said that over 1.1 lakh units of the Grand have been sold in India.
In terms of changes, the Grand Sportz Edition gets several new features like 14-inch Diamond cut Alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, leather wrap on steering wheel, rear spoiler, and B-Pillar blackout along with body graphics. Furthermore, the car's interior sports premium full-cloth upholstery in tones of red.
The SportZ variant continues to be powered by the same engines as the ones found on the standard model, i.e. the U2 1.1 litre CRDi diesel engine and the 1.2 litre Kappa petrol. While the former offers a fuel efficiency of 24Km/l, the latter i.e. the petrol promises a mileage of 18.9Km/l.

Talking about the introduction of the SportZ Edition, Mr Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP, Marketing and Sales, HMIL said, "We are delighted to introduce the 'SportZ Edition' of Grand amongst customers to celebrate this landmark. We thank our customers for showing strong confidence in brand Hyundai and making Grand a huge success in India. Grand which has created a benchmark in quality, features and technology offering higher value proposition has been well appreciated by the auto fraternity by being the most awarded car of 2013. Grand has created a new benchmark in the automotive industry by foraying into the list of top 5 most selling brands in India within the first month of full production. Grand achieved a milestone with the delivery of 100,000 Hyundai Grand cars within 10 months of its launch making it the fastest car to achieve this landmark in India."
