F1 is a sport that thrills millions of enthusiasts and fans worldwide. Several Indian drivers have also managed to carve their own niches in the annals of sporting history. Here's taking a look at some of the biggest names in this circuit.
Narain Kartikeyan

Narain Kartikeyan became globally famous after he inked his deal with Jordan Grand Prix, the Formula One constructor team. He debuted on 6th March, 2005, at the Australian Grand Prix, coming 15th in the race as well. His top finish was achieved at the Grand Prix in the United States on the 15th of June, 2005, when he came in at number four, narrowly missing on the podium finish as well. In the year 2019, while competing on the behalf of Nakajima Racing, Narain Kartikeyan emerged victorious at the Fuji Super GT X DTM Dream Race held at Fuji. Throughout the race, he also achieved the swiftest lap timing. He has also taken part in several other events including 24 Hours of Le Mans, A1 GP, SuperLeague Formula, and NASCAR among others.
Karun Chandhok

Chandhok was born in Chennai and eventually became the Formula Maruti Series champion after winning a whopping 7 races out of 10 in total. In the year 2001, he drove for Team India Racing, becoming the youngest driver to win the 2000 Formula Asia Series. He achieved victory in 8 out of 14 races at the event. He also won the first Formula V6 Asia by Renault Series and attained 9 pole positions during the event. He debuted in F1 back in 2010, driving for the Hispania Racing team. He also took part in the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship while also taking part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He also drove for Mahindra Racing at the Formula E Championship.

Jehan Daruvala

Jehan Daruvala made history in the year 2020, becoming India's first ever driver to win the Formula 2, finishing in pole position on the podium at the Sakhir sprint race held in Bahrain. He raced for Carlin, going past stalwarts like Dan Ticktum, Yuki Tsunoda, and Mick Schumacher. We hope to see him get a seat in the F1 series.
