Indian Travel Startup Embarq Organises Silk Route Road Trip In Kyrgyzstan

- Embarq's Silk Route tour is a motorcycle and self-drive car road trip
- The road trip will explore the ancient silk route terrains of Kyrgyzstan
- It will be a weeklong road trip from 1st October to 7th October 2016

The Silk Route In Kyrgyzstan
Now, there is a reason why Embarq has named this exciting tour package - the Silk Route Road Trip. Apparently, Kyrgyzstan, which is touted to be the Switzerland of Asia, is a landlocked country that was once used for transporting silk and spices from China and India to the European continent, and the riders and drivers will be exploring these ancient routes on this trip. Embarq claims that all the paved roads on this tour were a part of the ancient Silk Route, which also hosts the world's second largest alpine lake, the Issyk-Kul. It is located to the north of India.

Off-Roading In Kyrgyzstan
This doesn't mean that participants will not get any off-roading action in this trip. In fact, the real beauty of Kyrgyzstan is in its unpaved and off-road routes, which the road trip participants will get to explore in the pristine mountain passes through a route that offers a mix of both paved and dirt roads. The tour of the Silk Route in Kyrgyzstan starts and ends in the country's bustling capital, Bishkek.

Yamaha XT 600
The most interesting part of this travel experience is that Embarq will provide the motorcycle and the car required for this trip to the participants, which is included in the tour package cost. While the motorcyclist will get to explore the beautiful valleys of Kyrgyzstan on a Yamaha XT 600 bike, the drivers will put to test the Toyota 4Runner SUV through the rough terrains of this beautiful Central Asian country. Embarq will also arrange for vehicle insurances as well.

Toyota 4Runner
Being a guided road trip, the participants will be accompanied by a support car with a mechanic, a first-aid kit, a professional photographer and luggage space on the board. As a part of their package, participants will also get - fuel for the vehicles, all meals, accommodation, spare bike/car if anything goes wrong with the vehicle, airport transfers in Kyrgyzstan, a local sim card and visa support. But they will have to pay for the international airfare, visa cost, and personal expenses, which will be in addition to the tour package cost.

Embarq Silk Route Road Trip
After its successful inaugural road trip of Punjab in February 2016, Embarq launched its first international motorcycle tour and self-drive car tour in Northern Europe. The Silk Route road trip is the third offering from Embarq and it will explore a lesser-known land in Central Asia. More details about the trip and registration can be found on Embarq's official website. The trip will begin on October 1, 2016 and end on October 7, 2016.
