Highlights

  • The Jaguar E-Pace bares resemblance to the F-Pace SUV
  • The E-Pace will go on sale in international markets in 2018
  • Jaguar will showcase the E-Pace on the 13th of July
Jaguar has announced that its new compact performance SUV, the E-Pace, will be revealed to the world on the 13th of July 2017. The E-Pace will expand the Jaguar model lineup and will be the 2nd performance SUV in the 'PACE' line-up. Jaguar has been expanding its product portfoilio and the E-Pace will be the third new Jaguar nameplate to be added to the company's model line-up. Jaguar has had its fair share of success with the XE and the F-Pace, with the latter contributing to 83 per cent of sales last year and the company will go in for the kill by putting the all-electric I-Pace into production in 2018.

We've told you about the E-Pace earlier too and there were some spy shots doing the rounds which gave us an idea of what the car would look like. The Jaguar E-Pace will essentially be a baby F-Pace. This means the car will share its design and styling with the F-Pace and the judging from the test mules seen so far. The E-Pace is likely to mimic the face of its older sibling as the headlamps appear to follow the same design pattern and the bonnet also looks quite similar. In fact, the overall size of the SUV is clearly smaller and the differs in silhouette too.

The cabin layout of the E-Pace appears to be pretty much similar to the F-Pace. The SUV also gets the same three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls for various functions offered in the car and a similar design for the centre AirCon vents on the dashboard and also the seats.

Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, said, "The combination of sports car looks with Jaguar performance will ensure that the E-PACE stands out. Every Jaguar is designed to excite the senses, and we think E-PACE will do just that, albeit with its own individual character."

The Jaguar E-Pace will feature standard all-wheel drive technology and an all-Ingenium line-up of petrol engines, as well as a suite of connected technology and convenience features. Come July, we'll know more about the car and of course stay tuned for all the updates!
