Jeep Renegade Cabin Uncovered In Latest Spy Photos

- The Jeep Renegade's cabin looks production ready
- Jeep India imported the Renegade over a year and a half back for testing
- Jeep will launch the Renegade only when it's ready for local production
With the launch of the Jeep Compass, the American SUV manufacturer has finally found a strong footing in the Indian car market. The deliveries of the Compass SUV have also commenced, and with that out of the way, it seems like the Fiat-owned carmaker has now shifted its focus towards readying the next big product - the Jeep Renegade. A near production test mule of the Jeep Renegade SUV was recently spotted in India, and this time we also have a clear view of the interior and cabin features of the long-awaited SUV.

This Jeep Renegade Cabin looks production ready
The Jeep Renegade's cabin revealed in these images look production ready and comes with a black dashboard with silver inserts and dual-tone fabric upholstery for the seats. The steering, gear knob and the infotainment display are these same ones used in the Compass but the cabin design is very different. There is a large grab handle on the passenger side of the dashboard with large AC vents and beige panel inserts for the door. The dashboard also features large silver accented dials for climate control along with other controls and there is a central armrest as well.

Jeep Renegade gets the company's signature 7-slot grille
On the outside, nothing much has changed from the last time we saw a test mule of the Jeep Renegade. The boxy design of the SUV gives it a rugged stance, while up front we have the signature 7-slot grille flanked by round halogen headlamps on either side, clearly, the production version will get projector lamps and DRLs. The bumper is well-sculpted and comes with large intakes and round foglamps on either side.
Interestingly, Jeep imported the Renegade to India over a year and a half back for testing and homologation and the SUV has been spotted in India on several occasions. Having said that, the carmaker was clear that it will be the Compass that will first come to India before the Renegade is launched. In fact, we don't think that the company will introduce the Renegade SUV any time before it is completely ready for local production. This means like the Compass, the Jeep Renegade will also be launched at a very aggressive price range.
