Land Rover Defender 30th Anniversary Edition Revealed For North America

- Special Edition limited to just 500 units for North America
- All units finished in Fiji White and get additional equipment as standard
- Powered by a 295 bhp 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine
Land Rover North America has revealed a limited-run special edition of the Defender to commemorate the SUV marking its 30-year anniversary. Based on the Defender 110 P300 S, the new 30th Anniversary Edition pays homage to the 1993 model year Defender 110 First Edition and is limited to just 500 units solely for the North American market. Each special edition packs in additional equipment from the Defender's list of accessories and comes finished in Fiji White with white-finished steel wheels – just like the 1993 First Edition.
“The Defender 30th Anniversary Edition is a modern classic which pays homage to the heritage of 1993 Defender 110 First Edition, commented Joe Eberhardt, President and CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America. “This Edition celebrates the Defender model legacy here in North America, while offering technology and features that the adventurers of today expect in a new vehicle.”

Special edition Defender is limited to just 500 units.
Starting on the cosmetic updates, the Anniversary Edition models wear front bumper protectors, plastic wheel arch extensions, side steps, a roof rack and a folding step-ladder. Each unit also wears a heritage-inspired Land Rover badge on the tailgate which also houses the unit's production number.
Inside, it gets all the features one would expect of the Defender 110 S along with some parts from the accessories bin such as rubber floor mats. The seats are upholstered in ebony grained leather. The Anniversary Edition also gets additional kit as standard over the Defender 110 S such as the Premium LED headlights with LED DRLs, fog lamps, air suspension, three-zone climate control and the off-road pack (adds an electronic active differential and off-road tyres).

Each unit wears a heritage-inspired Badge with the production unit number.
The Defender Anniversary Edition will solely be available with the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine (P300) that develops 295 bhp and 400 Nm of torque.
The original 1993 Defender 110 First Edition arrived on North American shores in late 1992 and was also limited to just a little over 500 units at the time. Land Rover says that the model at the time came outfitted for off-roading packing in equipment such as a safari roll-over protection system, ladder and roof rack, and a heated windshield.
