Mahindra Two Wheelers, TVS to Unveil New Products This January

Mahindra surprised the Indian two-wheeler industry in 2015 by launching the 300cc Mojo. The bike was Mahindra's offering in the booming performance-touring segment, and Mahindra did a more-than-decent job with its first offering to this market.
Riding high on the buzz that the Mojo has generated in the Indian market, Mahindra Two Wheelers is back with its latest offering, this time in the burgeoning automatic scooter segment. CarandBike has been invited to Pune, Maharashtra on January 11, 2016 to ride a new scooter codenamed G108.
Rumours have been going around for sometime now that Mahindra Two Wheelers may be launching a 125cc scooter. We're not sure whether the new product will be a 125cc or a new 110cc scooter on the same Gusto platform, possibly one which is lightweight, and targeted at the college going crowd. The Gusto is powered by a 109.6cc engine delivering 8bhp of power and 9Nm of torque.
Another possibility is a new 125cc scooter, built on the same Gusto platform. The 125cc scooter segment is presently being dominated by the Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Access. Where both the Activa and Access produce 8.6bhp of maximum power, the new scooter from Mahindra Two Wheelers can't be very different in terms of output, but may deliver more user-friendly features making it a better value for money.
Another two-wheeler manufacturer that is being looked up to this month is TVS. The rumours of a new 200cc Apache RTR have been doing rounds from last few months, after being spied in Indonesia for the first time, and then in Chennai two days ago.

According to the latest communication from TVS, the Hosur-based two-wheeler manufacturer will be launching new 'products' on January 20 in Chennai. However, TVS didn't say anything about the models launching on 20th, but topping the list of speculations is the Apache RTR 200.
Recent spy shots have revealed that the TVS Apache RTR 200 is fitted with a single-piece, flat wide handlebar, all-digital instrument panel, split seats, front telescopic fork, rear monoshock suspension and an upswept exhaust. An oil cooler is visible in the front section of the engine, which is expected to be a four-stroke, single-cylinder, 200cc oil-cooled engine producing around 25bhp of power and clubbed to a six-speed gearbox.
TVS also might launch this bike in the Indian market with ABS as an option. The standard variant is expected to be priced around Rs. 1,30,000.
