- The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is based on the sub 4-metre TUV300 SUV
- The Mahindra TUV300 Plus sold to a customer is in the mid-level P4 trim
- The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is expected to go on sale in early 2018
Mahindra & Mahindra has a host of products lined up for launch in 2018 and the automaker could kick-start its new line-up with the TUV300 Plus model in early 2018. The full-sized Mahindra TUV300 Plus has been spied on several occasions in the past, sans any camouflage and latest images reveal that the model has been also been purchased by a customer ahead of official launch. Confirming the development, Mahindra Group - Chairman, Anand Mahindra tweeted in a tweet said that the company is "seeding a few vehicles in the market before the launch next year." The TUV300 Plus has been purchased in Tamil Nadu in mid-level P4 trim and is priced at Rs. 9.46 lakh (ex-showroom), as per the invoice.
undefinedWe’re seeding a few vehicles in the market before the launch next year. Don’t worry, I am in the queue as well...I can’t wait to start using this beast...and @vijaynakra is making me wait! https://t.co/5swf5wvo4L

The Mahindra TUV300 Plus as the name suggests is the full-sized version based on the standard sub 4-metre TUV300. The SUV sports a slightly longer wheelbase while also accommodating a proper third row for seats and improved features as well. Going by the images, the TUV300 Plus gets little changes over the smaller version with the same boxy frame and grille design. The P4 variant though gets a black bumper up front, instead of a body coloured unit. Fog lamps have been given a miss as well on the variant. The rear too gets minimal changes with a slightly tweaked taillight design, while the third row is expected to get side facing seats for more capacity.
That said, details on the powertrain still remain under wraps. The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is expected to use the same 1.5-litre diesel engine as the smaller TUV300, possibly in the 100 bhp guise. There are also reports of the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine with 120 bhp being used under the hood. The motor will come paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, while an automatic version cannot be ruled out. Going by Mr. Mahindra's tweet, the TUV300 Plus could make it to his garage as well.

Details on the launch aren't officially out yet but the Mahindra TUV300 Plus is expected to go on sale in early 2018, possibly around the upcoming Auto Expo next February. Expect prices start somewhere around Rs. 8.5 lakh onwards going up to Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom) for the range-topping trims. It'll also be interesting to see how the TUV300 Plus is positioned within the Mahindra family. Apart from the bigger TUV, Mahindra is also gearing up to introduce the updated XUV500 as well as the U321 MPV next year.
