Mercedes-Benz EQ C Teased Ahead Of Unveil In September

It's been a long wait but we'll finally get to see Mercedes-Benz's first all-electric vehicle in the production guise. We'd already told you in March that the company is all set to showcase the production version of the EQ C electric car on September 4, 2018. Now, the teasers start and the fresh one is of the headlamp and of course you can't miss the illuminated LED daytime running light bar that stretches from headlamp to headlamp, across the front grille. The EQC SUV will be based on the Mercedes-Benz EQ Concept car that was originally showcased at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show and then again at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo. The EQC SUV will also be the first product offering by Mercedes-Benz under the new EQ sub brand that will only have all-electric models of cars on offer. The EQ C, as promised by the company will be officially launched in 2019 and yes we expect the company to bring it to India but that will depend on the development of infrastructure in the country.
The Mercedes-Benz EQC is already undergoing testing in Southern Europe and in the United States as part of the new range of 500 tests that Mercedes-Benz will undertake on every new vehicle. The Mercedes-Benz EQC when launched, will go up against the likes of the newly launched Jaguar I-Pace, the upcoming Audi e-Tron SUV and of course, the Tesla Model X.

The exact specifications of the EQ C has yet to be confirmed but it's touted to be a breakthrough for a pure-electric vehicle. It is expected that the EQ C will get a 70 kWh lithium ion battery which is likely to churn out more than 400 bhp and a range of around 500km.
We'll know more about the car this week as it's very likely that Mercedes-Benz continues to drop in some more teasers and we'll tell you all about it. So stay tuned!
