Next Batch Of Mercedes-Benz EQC To Arrive In October 2021; Bookings Begin Now

Mercedes-Benz India has started accepting bookings for the next batch of the EQC electric luxury SUV. Currently, the electric SUV comes to India as a completely built unit (CBU) model, and the new batch will reach our shores in October 2021. The Mercedes-Benz EQC was launched in India in October 2020, and in addition to being the first electric vehicle from the Stuttgart-based carmaker, it was also the first luxury electric vehicle to be launched in India. the first batch of the electric SUV was sold out in less than three months. Furthermore, Mercedes will now sell the EQC from 50 cities across India, as opposed to 6 cities at the time of its launch.
The Mercedes-Benz EQC is offered in one single variant - ECQ 400 4Matic, and it's priced at Rs. 1.07 crore (ex-showroom, India). The EQC gets two electric motors, with each positioned at the front and rear axles, respectively, making it an all-wheel-drive electric SUV. Powering the electric motors is an 80kW lithium-ion battery unit that can provide a driving range of 450 - 471 km per when fully charged. The electric motors generate a cumulative power of 402 bhp along with 765 Nm of peak torque, and it propels the SUV to do a 0-100 kmph sprint in merely 5.1 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 180 kmph.

The new Mercedes-Benz EQC is based on the same platform as the company's mid-size SUV GLC, however, it gets very design and styling. Upfront, the SUV comes with a multi-slat grille with a U-shaped chrome surround, along with LED headlamps and LED daytime running lamps. The SUV also gets dual-tone alloy wheels with blue highlights and a bunch of chrome exterior elements.

On the inside, the new EQC gets the signature Mercedes-Benz treatment with premium fit and finish, luxurious soft-touch material, and a host of smart equipment. The big attraction, of course, is the large 12.3-inch dual-screen display that is angled towards the driver and is used for both instrumentation and infotainment. The SUV also comes with the MBUX infotainment system with Me Mercedes, offering a range of connected car functions and voice command features. In terms of safety, the EQC gets 7 airbags as standard along with a bunch of active and passive driver assistance systems.
