1. Ventilate your car's cabin
Your car's cabin can turn into a haven for bad smells if you keep the air trapped inside. The car's interior needs to breathe and ventilation for the same is extremely important. This is particularly true if you smoke or eat inside the vehicle. So, make sure to roll down the windows and drive when you begin the journey. This allows fresh air to enter the cabin and ventilate it evenly.
Make sure to clean every nook and corner as often as possible, especially if you have children travelling in the car frequently
2. Re-circulate air
The re-circulate button in your car's air conditioning system helps circulate fresh air into the cabin. Turn it off when you need fresh air in the cabin and turn it on to avoid bad smells from the outside entering the vehicle. This helps keep the interior air clean, helping your car smell fresh for a longer period.
3. Keep it clean
A car's cabin is often overlooked by users when it comes to detailed cleaning. Apart from cleaning the mats occasionally, most users do not vacuum the seats or clean the cupholders. Please make sure to clean your interior at least once every fortnight.

4. Detail the cabin
Get the cabin detailed once in six months and that will help minimise odours in the cabin. The professional cleaners get into every nook and cranny of the interior and get all the big and small particles out that may form mould and fungus, and increase the stench. This is particularly necessary when you have children in the car too often.
5. Invest in a car perfume
Apart from spending efforts keeping the interior clean, make sure to invest in a good car perfume that does the trick for you. There are multiply available in the market and it really goes down to your budget and preference. Alternately, you can also spray some perfume in the car and keep the windows rolled up for the fragrance to settle down. Do remember, anything too strong with perfume can end up giving you a headache. So, be careful of that.
