New Colours For The Aprilia SR 150 On The Way

- The Aprilia ST 150 will get four new colours
- There has not been an official announcement yet
- The SR 150 will remain the same mechanically
Aprilia might soon be launching the SR 150 in a variety of new colours. We only say this because a spyshot was taken, perhaps at a Piaggio dealership or a stockyard, where the Aprilia SR 150 was spotted in new colours of metallic light blue, metallic dark blue, metallic and an olive green colour of sorts. That's four new colours! Till now, the Aprilia SR 150 was offered only in matte black and glossy white. Of course, there is also the Aprilia SR 150 Race, which gets the company's official race livery and does look quite sporty too. The dual-tone seat will be offered on all the new colour options as well.
The SR 150 was launched in India in 2016 and since then got good reception amongst auto journalists and buyers alike. It is the most powerful mass-market scooter and Aprilia will not be tinkering with the engine when it launches the scooter with new colours in the market. The scooter gets a 154.4 cc motor and 10.35 bhp at 6,750 rpm and 11.4 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a CVT unit. The SR 150 is the only mass-market scooter in India, which gets 14-inch wheels. The front wheel gets a 220 mm disc brake while the rear gets a 140 mm drum brake.
( One of the current colour scheme offering on Aprilia SR 150)The current selling price of the Aprilia SR 150 is Rs. 68,606 and since there is just a change in the colour scheme, we do not expect a steep hike in the price. Probably, Aprilia will offer the SR 150 in new colours at the same price as now. There has been no announcement from Aprilia India about the launch of the SR 150 with new colours as of now, but we expect it will be made soon. Keep checking our website for the latest updates.
