Omega Seiki Mobility Unveils M1KA Electric Light Commercial Vehicle

- The Omega M1KA is India's first electric Light Commercial Vehicle.
- It has a drive range of 250 km.
- It can clock a top-speed of 100 kmph.
Omega Seiki Mobility has unveiled India's first electric four-wheeler light commercial vehicle (LCV) the M1KA. The new LCV is aimed at intracity commute and small-scale business such as e-Commerce, electronic proprietor, and dairy businesses among others. It is equipped with a NMC based battery of 90 kWh giving it a drive range of 250 km on a single charge, making it viable even for small intercity commute. Then, it can clock a top-speed of 100 kmph. The battery takes 4 hours to charge fully at the DC Fast Charging Stations while a normal charger will do the same in 8 hours. Payload capacity is rated at two tonnes and gets six-leaf spring suspension at the front and seven-leaf spring suspension at the rear.

Moreover, Omega is targeting customer segment which is a combination of owners-cum-drivers and fleet owners. As said, the M1KA can be used for multiple applications including courier, Goods distribution, E-Commerce and FMCG among others. Omega has a network of 40 dealerships across India and aims at selling 2,000 units in the first phase.
