Highlights

Red Bull clearly suffered a setback when Daniel Ricciardo was stripped off his second place win at the Australian Grand Prix. Even the home-boy was in no mood to comment on how things went terribly wrong for him after he had put his heart and soul into the race to see that Red Bull gets a podium finish.

However, the Australian driver was thrown out of the results after finishing second in Melbourne, due to irregularities with his Red Bull car's fuel flow data and improper use of the FIA-supplied sensor.

Immediately after the stewards' verdict was published, Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner said the team would file an appeal. The formal documentation has been lodged but the hearing of the appeal may take several weeks with the Malaysian and Bahrain Grand Prix in sequence, the verdict on Ricciardo's second place win will take some time.
