The latest car to be launched from the Renault stable is the facelift of its premium SUV - the Koleos. Offered in two new variants, the most essential change on the facelifted SUV is its all-new glossy black grille with extensive usage of chrome and a larger and higher placed company logo.
Other than that, the Koleos now gets 5-spoke alloy wheels and chrome strips on the side. The base variant gets only single-tone alloys and misses features like the BOSE audio system, ESP, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, side and curtain airbags, electric seat height adjustment and leather upholstery.
While the outgoing Renault Koleos was available only with the four-wheel drive and automatic transmission, the French carmaker now also offers a 4x4 manual variant and a two-wheel drive base manual variant as well.
The 4x4 variant sports the same features as the ones found on its predecessor: keyless go, dual-zone automatic climate control, pillar-mounted rear A/C vents and selectable all-wheel drive among others. This feature list now includes cup-holders in the rear seat armrest and a sunglass holder above the drivers window.
And as far as the engines are concerned, the Koleos facelift will be powered by the same but upgraded 2.0-litre M9R diesel engine, though in different states of tune. The two-wheel drive model will deliver 148bhp and 320Nm of torque, while the four-wheel drive versions will churn out 171bhp.
