Shah Rukh Khan Roped in as Hyundai Xcent's Brand Ambassador

Hyundai Motor India Limited, today announced Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the brand ambassador for the Xcent, its new sub-compact sedan. SRK's association with Hyundai first began with the Santro, Hyundai's first car in the Indian market, and has been going strong for 16 years now. The company says, "Hyundai and SRK's association has been one of the long-lasting association not only for an automobile company but for any brand in India."
The new TVC of the Xcent, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, is designed around 'Multiplying life's joys with the generous Xtras like - Xtra space, style and comfort' theme. The film shows how SRK is an 'Xtra Hunter' and quests for more. The storyline of the TVC talks about typical Indian middle class consumers' quest for a bit of extra in everything. SRK plays a young professional in the TVC who is a vivacious dad to twins, and is always pushing for extra from his life.
Launched in February, 2014, the Xcent has sold 35,400 units, which makes it one of the most successful cars from this South Korean carmaker in India till date.
