Sym Trazer 200 Adventure Bike Unveiled

- Sym Motors is a Taiwanese motorcycle company
- Sym Trazer 200 is a small adventure bike
- Sym Wolf Cafe Racer is a modern classic with a 300 cc engine
Taiwanese brand Sym has released two new motorcycles, one of them a small and lightweight adventure bike. The Sym Trazer 200 is powered by a 183 cc single-cylinder engine which makes 18 bhp and just over 16 Nm of peak torque. The Trazer 200 gets wire-spoked wheels with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel, shod with off-road tyres and also gets long travel suspension. The bike also gets standard ABS which can be disabled for the rear wheel for spirited riding off-road.

The SYM Wolf is an affordable cafe racer
Sym has also unveiled another retro-styled motorcycle, called the Wolf Café Racer 300i. It's again a modern café racer, but expected to be much affordable than many café racers available on sale right now. The Wolf gets a 278 cc, single-cylinder engine, which makes around 27 bhp and just over 25 Nm of peak torque. The Wolf has a kerb weight of 176 kg, and also gets Bosch ABS and daytime running lights. Prices of both bikes haven't been announced yet, and there's no word of if this Taiwanese company will eventually look at India as a possible market.

The Sym Trazer 200 is a lightweight adventure bike
The Sym Trazer 200 will join several small adventure bikes which are already available on sale in markets abroad. In India, so far, the only small-displacement adventure bike available on sale right now is the Kawasaki Versys X-300, but that is soon going to change once BMW Motorrad launches the BMW G 310 GS this year, and possibly even KTM launching the much-anticipated KTM 390 Adventure and KTM 390 Scrambler sometime later this year, or early next year.
Sym motorcycles are manufactured by Sanyang Motor Co. Ltd, which was founded in Taipei in 1954, and is the strategic partner of the Hyundai brand. Sanyang has three major production bases in Taiwan, China and Vietnam and sells a wide range of scooters and motorcycles in South East Asia.
