The New Age Baleno - Bold, Intelligent & Tech-Loaded

We are living in the age of technology. Right from our phones to our homes, technology has made our lives easier, more efficient, and more comfortable. So, when everything is embracing technology, how can India's most-popular premium hatchback not? Yes, we are talking about the new Baleno from NEXA, and to meet the requirements of the new-age customers, the car has gone through a major makeover. The New Age Baleno is now bolder, comes with a host of segment-first features, and is loaded with advanced technologies.
Check out the interactive video below and switch between the features on the right to explore more about the New Age Baleno.
The Baleno has been a benchmark in the premium hatchback space for over six years, thanks to its bold looks, modern features, and impressive performance. And with the new age Baleno, NEXA is taking things to the next level. The car looks more mature and imposing, thanks to the larger grille and the muscular bumper. And to complete that impressive look Maruti Suzuki now offers LED projector headlamps and new NEXTre' LED daytime running lights. The refreshed 16-inch precision cut alloy wheels add to the Baleno's bold stance, while the new taillights with attractive LED signatures take the premium quotient to the next level.

But what really makes the Baleno stand out are all the tech that is offered inside. Step inside, and you will be welcomed by a new cabin, and thanks to the new Advanced Voice Assistant, your car can even welcome you with a customised greeting. Now tell me that's not cool. Once you are in, the first thing that will catch your eye is the new SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system that comes with a 9-inch high-definition touchscreen display. The system is big, clear, and as responsive as a high-end smartphone. Moreover, the infotainment system gets a voice-command-based feature as well, which responds to 'Hi Suzuki.' Now, how cool is that? Also, listening to your favourite tunes inside the Baleno will now be a new experience thanks to Surround Sense powered by ARKAMYS. And if you are sitting at the rear, you will now get the additional comfort of rear AC vents. Plus, you also get a set of fast-charging USB Type A and Type C ports, so you can keep your devices charged on the go.

But that's just the beginning. Look above the steering wheel and you'll see a segment-first Head-Up Display (HUD). The unit gives all the necessary information while driving, and it's customisable as well. But not just driving, parking the new Baleno has also become much easier now thanks to the 360-degree view camera, another segment-first feature. Also, in addition to the usual suite of connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, you get the latest Suzuki Connect inbuilt. It comes with more than 40 connected features, including Smartwatch Connectivity and Alexa Skill Connectivity.

But the Baleno's tech doesn't just keep you entertained and comfortable; they also keep you safe! In addition to the feature Anti-locking braking system (ABS), Electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and ISOFIX child seat mounts, you now also get up to six airbags inside the Baleno. In addition to that, NEXA has made use of both high and ultra-high tensile steel in the construction of the new Baleno, offering excellent built quality, and making it your, personal safety cocoon.

Now, what powers the new Baleno is the latest 1.2-litre K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT petrol that's powerful and highly efficient. The engine churns 88 bhp @ 6000 rpm and provides a peak torque of 113 Nm @ 4,400 rpm, which is enough to offer you an engaging drive, be it the city or the highway. But most importantly, in addition to the trusted 5-speed manual gearbox, now you also get the convenience of Maruti Suzuki's Auto Gear Shift or AGS transmission, which is also highly fuel-efficient compared to the previous model.

So, in a nutshell, the new age Baleno is bold, intelligent, and loaded with best-in-class tech. It even continues to offer the same level of performance, which impressed us in the first place. And with prices starting at Rs. 6.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) there is no doubt that the Baleno offers a great value proposition. So, visit the Nexa showrooms today and experience the New Age Baleno.
