Carmakers do this by manufacturing ultra-high-performance variants of their standard models that are both roads legal and capable of achieving lap times on the track. These vehicles also tend to be at the top of their respective model ranges in terms of price and are generally built-in in small quantities to maintain their status.
Top Racing Specials –
- CS & CSL by BMW - BMW is well-known for its extensive array of M automobiles, which has recently extended to include a large portion of other ranges, such as the SUV segment. BMW has maintained to employ the CS and CSL badges to designate styles that go above and beyond standard M vehicles in track efficiency while keeping everyday drivability. The CS abbreviation stands for various things, including 'Coupé Sport, and even' Club Sport.' So because L in CSL stands for the word 'Leichtbau,' which translates to lightweight, the CSL branding might also refer to a lighter model.
- Black Series by Mercedes - Compared to other OEMs, Mercedes has always been more consolation-driven. With most models in the range available in AMG trim, Mercedes has introduced the 'Black Series' label to further distinguish its more monitor-oriented vehicles. The company's AMG GT Black Series, the newest model in the range, offers greater track performance than anything from the other well-known brands. The GT Black Series is the sixth model in the Black Series line, spanning 10+ years.

- Porsche - Porsche, more than any other brand in the market, is a dedicated sports car manufacturer. Even the basic trims of entry-level models like the SUV pay more attention to vehicle dynamics and handling than class rivals. The 911, which is Porche's core model, is well-known for becoming the benchmark sports activities automobile for many previous years. The trim structure for Porsche fashions is usually divided into two sections. Typically, the Turbo and Turbo S models are designed to provide maximum power and luxury, comfort, and other features aimed at on-road use. Meanwhile, a track-oriented flagship bound with the initials GT and a digit serves as a stand-in.

- GTA & GTAm by Alfa Romeo - Despite its recent lack of success, Alfa Romeo has maintained a tradition of designating the top efficiency models in its mainstream range, basically excluding models such as the 8C with the GTA badge. These styles are marketed as a more intense, monitor-oriented stage. Although the original and current Giulia GTA models are more than fifty years apart, they share characteristics such as a focus on lightweight materials and an upgraded engine, as do all real GTAs. The latest GTAm in the lineup, for example, does away with the back seats and replaces them with a polycarbonate appearance.
The racing specials hold great importance for top car manufacturers today; these help them separate their highest performance series from the road versions.
