Triumph Teases The New-Generation Speed Triple Again

- The Triumph Speed Triple has been around for 24 years
- The new-gen model will get a host of updates to the looks and features
- Expect the bike to be launched in India later in 2018
Triumph Motorcycles is not the best at keeping secrets. A few days ago, the company released a video featuring legendary motorcycle racer Carl Fogarty and Isle Of Man TT champ Gary Johnson. Needless to say, the bike teased in the video was the new-generation Speed Triple. Well, Triumph did not stop there! It released yet another video wherein the two motorcycle legends are seen racing each other on bikes which OBVIOUSLY is the all-new Speed Triple, again. And yes, one can get fleeting glimpses of the new Triple, in its entirety and without any camouflage either.

Looking at the video, we could definitely make out a few details, such as the bike will be getting a lot of updates. To begin with, the bike will get two engines in different states of tune and have different set of equipment (R and RS). The power output too will get a bump, maybe till 150 bhp while the rev range will be climbing up as well.

One can also expect better and lighter components in the engine itself. Apart from the engine, the new-gen Speed Triple will also get the new full-colour TFT screen from the Street Triple RS and a comprehensive electronics package along with all LED-lighting, new alloy wheels and so on.
(New Generation Speed Triple)The Speed Triple RS in particular will get top-shelf Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes and a quick-shifter as well. Oh! And all RS models will get Arrow exhaust unit with carbon heat shield and add a few BHPs to the power output as well. And of course, Triumph will also be offering a host of accessories for the Speed Triple like other bikes in its portfolio. From what we hear, it might come to India sometime in the second half of 2018
