Yamaha says the engine, frame and wheels have comprehensive weight reducing designs that contribute to the overall fuel efficiency and helps the model tip the scales at a kerb weight of 98 kg. As a result, the Saluto RX is lighter by 22 kg, compared to the previous models from Yamaha in this segment.

Yamaha Saluto RX Fuel Tank
The Yamaha Saluto RX is also quite fuel efficient courtesy of the light weight and returns a claimed mileage of 82 kmpl. In terms of mechanicals, the bike comes with telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers, drum brakes at the front and rear as well as an analog instrument cluster. The motor also comes with the manufacturer's Blue Core technology that is currently seen on Yamaa's bigger motorcycles.

Yamaha Saluto RX Side Profile
The Yamaha Saluto RX will be rivaling a host of popular commuter motorcycles in the segment including the TVS Victor, Hero Splendor Pro and Honda Dream Series.
