Zypp Electric Makes Another Top Level Appointment Under Latest Expansion Plan

- Sameer Baweja will lead the Technology and Product vertical at Zypp

Electric mobility start-up Zypp Electric has announced appointing Sameer Baweja as Senior Vice President to lead Technology and Product vertical at the company. In his new role, Sameer will strategies Zypp's upcoming operations and technological innovation to build last-mile EV solutions in 30 cities across India. Right now, as an EV-as-a-Service platform, Zypp offers access to thousands of logistics businesses and delivery executives to go Electric with its rental fleet. The latest appointment follows Zypp's recent announcement about raising $ 1 million in debt funding from Northern Arc to expand its EV fleet services.

Sameer Baweja comes with 22 years of experience in SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) based B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Consumer) domains. He brings in extensive experience working in Product Engineering. Prior to Zypp, he worked with Ameyo as Head of Product Engineering and earlier has worked with mid-size companies and start-ups like Harman, and Tavant in product innovation and leading new product lines.

Speaking about his appointment, Sameer Baweja, SVP of Technology & Product, Zypp Electric, said "In this role, I will work with business, marketing and operations teams to prioritise and formulate the next level product and data strategy via building a strong technology team and tech platform which is highly scalable".
Earlier in April, Zypp had announced elevating its Business Head, Tushar Mehta, as the company's Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO). With the demand and supply ramping through its expansion plan, Zypp also plans to deploy 20,000 electric vehicles in 2022, and 1.5 lakh EVs by 2025 to achieve its sustainable business model in India to make it a carbon emission-free nation.
