On the inaugural day of Delhi Auto Expo, Mercedes-Benz showcased the CLA 45 AMG sedan and Mercedes-Benz GLA crossover. The Mercedes CLA 45 AMG sedan and Mercedes GLA SUV are sheer German beauties, based on Mercedes' new MFA platform, on which A-Class and B-Class are built.
The CLA sedan brings a real thrilling experience to car enthusiasts by achieving 100kmph from standstill within 4.6 seconds, with a top-speed of 250kmph. The new CLA 45 AMG derives power from a four-cylinder, 2.0-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol powertrain that produces a peak power output of 355bhp @ 6,000rpm.
On the other side, the GLA sports the same 1.6-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, found under the A-Class and B-Class. Transmitting power to all four-wheels of the vehicle is a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission gearbox.
The Mercedes CLA-class sedan and Mercedes GLA are expected to be launched by mid 2014.
