Mercedes-Benz Launches Sport Edition A-Class, CLA and GLA in India

- The sports edition models are priced from Rs 25.95 lakh to Rs 35.26 lakh
- The cars comes with AMG style exterior and few additional features
- Mechanically all 3 cars remain same without any changes in powertrains
Aimed to attract the young population and millennials, the new Sport edition models come with some improved cosmetic updates and few additional features as well. In fact the cars comes with AMG body kits with front and rear bumper, side skirts as well as the AMG carbon fibre mirror cover. Some of the standard features that the cars get include - Mercedes-Benz 'Sport Edition' badge, Carbon Fibre Mirror Cover, Hub cap, black, Sport Pedal, stainless steel, Hub cap black, Valve cap black.
In the official statement released by the company, Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director & CEO Roland Folger said, "The new 'Sport Edition' of the A-Class, CLA and GLA celebrates the spirit of the UEFA EURO 2016 in India. This is a celebration of our New Generation Cars which epitomizes sportiness, dynamism and agility not only on but also off the field. With the 'Sport Edition' of the A-Class, CLA and GLA, we aim to offer the young population and millennials, as well as all sports enthusiasts an irresistible product to suit their unique lifestyle and taste. We are confident that our customers will appreciate and adore these sporty versions as much as we do. And, of course, in line with our 'winning strategy', we keep our fingers crossed for the German national soccer team."
Mechanically the cars remain the same and see no changes in powertrain options. The A-Class continues to be powered by the same 122bhp 1.6-litre petrol and a 136bhp 2.2-litre diesel engine. The CLA too is powered by the same 181bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and 134bhp 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine. So is the case with the GLA that receives its power from 183bhp 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 136bhp 2.1-litre turbo diesel.
